Out-of-State Dairy Producer Permit

To import Grade A dairy products into New Mexico, or to sell Grade A dairy products in New Mexico, a dairy producer must have a permit, which is issued by the NMDA Dairy Division and must be renewed annually.

A dairy plant should complete an Application for New Mexico Milk Permit and submit it to the NMDA Dairy Division. A detailed list of products to be imported – and locations at which the products will be sold – must be included with the application.

Distributors may collect their clients’/plants’ applications. Distributors may complete the details of products sold and locations of sale. A permit will be issued and mailed to the requesting party.
