AG Day
AG Day is a huge tailgate event held prior to a New Mexico State University Aggies football game in the fall. Located in the south Pan American Center parking lot and the northeast Aggie Memorial Stadium lot, AG Day focuses on family fun and the importance of agricultural products, services and jobs in New Mexico. The event features food sampling, educational booths, live music, animals and much more.
AgriFuture Educational Institute
The New Mexico Department of Agriculture and a dozen other New Mexico agencies and agriculture organizations host AgriFuture in even-numbered years. AgriFuture is geared toward anyone 18 to 40 years of age but is open to anyone older or younger who is interested in being a part of the future of agriculture. Current producers of any age are highly encouraged to join alongside future producers to learn and share insights. Veterans of the armed forces are encouraged to attend.
Rounders Awards Ceremony
The Rounders Award is named after “The Rounders,” a classic western novel written by New Mexican Max Evans. Created in 1990 by former New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Frank DuBois, the purpose of the award is to honor those who live, promote and articulate the western way of life.
