NMDA issues advisory following animal feed recall in Arizona, Colorado and Texas
Recalled products include chicken, swine, cattle and horse feed
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Today the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) has issued an advisory following a manufacturer recall of chicken, swine, cattle and horse feed products. While the 11 recalled feed products were not found at distributors in New Mexico, some of the products were distributed in the nearby states of Arizona, Colorado and Texas.
NMDA has issued a recall advisory in order to alert New Mexico livestock owners who may have purchased the recalled feed products.
NMDA encourages both livestock producers and owners to keep all feed products in the original packaging in order to quickly and easily reference lot numbers, which are used to track products throughout the manufacturing process and can identify recalled products.
The following products have been recalled by ADM Animal Nutrition, Inc. and may have been purchased for use in New Mexico. These products may contain dangerous levels of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium and chloride.
